Presents an overview of demographic and economic
statistics pertaining to rural minority populations and
addresses the following questions: Where do rural
minorities live? How is the rural minority population
distributed across ages and sexes? What is the economic
structure of rural, minority communities? What health
resources are available in rural, minority communities?
Findings pertaining to each minority group are presented
in separate chapters. Based on the findings, the authors
make several recommendations regarding issues ranging
from program participation to infrastructure to research.
