Creating County Level Estimates of Childhood Obesity in the U.S.: A Spatial Multilevel Modeling Approach
The primary goal of this project was to create and map county-level childhood obesity rates using data from the 2016 National Survey of Children's Health. A secondary goal was to compare childhood obesity rates by each county's urban vs. rural designation and explore regional differences (Northeast, Midwest, South, West) in childhood obesity overall and by urban vs. rural designation.
