2010-2022 County-Level Hospital-Based Obstetric Care Status
Access to obstetric care is an important determinant of maternal and infant health, and hospital-based obstetric care has been declining in the United States. The goal of this project was to build a public health database to provide information about access to and changes in hospital-based obstetric care across the U.S. This data resource is a county-level dataset containing the county Federal Information Proccessing Standard (FIPS) code, state, and an indicator of whether each U.S. county had hospital-based obstetrics care in each year, 2010-2022. It is available for download as an XLS file.
