About the Research Center

The Rural Maternal Health Data Support and Analysis Program (RMHD), is a partnership between the University of Minnesota Rural Health Research Center and Mission Analytics Group, Inc.. It is funded by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) within the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

The RMHD program provides direct technical assistance to rural maternal health networks to increase capacity to use and report data and to improve maternal health in their regions. This includes providing support to carry out internal evaluations and identify quality improvement needs, collecting data from networks, and establishing and maintaining a data repository of network and secondary data sources that can be leveraged by the maternal health networks for internal purposes.

RMHD additionally supports analyses on broader trends in maternal health care. The products of these analyses will be disseminated on Gateway.
