Since March 2020, the RUPRI Center for Rural Health Policy Analysis has published continuously updated data on county-level confirmed COVID-19 cases, 14-day COVID-19 case trajectories, and COVID-19 deaths.

Confirmed COVID-19 Cases, Metropolitan and
Nonmetropolitan Counties
This data brief shows the current nonmetropolitan and metropolitan spread of the disease, and the associated map shows how the disease has spread over time. -
County-Level 14-Day COVID-19 Case Trajectories
This brief uses data from USAFacts to look at the number of new confirmed cases in metropolitan, nonmetropolitan, and noncore counties during a two-week period. -
COVID-19 Cases and Deaths, Metropolitan and
Nonmetropolitan Counties Over Time (Update)
Data on confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths are used to calculate seven-day rolling incidence and mortality rates in metropolitan, nonmetropolitan, or noncore counties (classified using Urban Influence Codes).
