This project will characterize the availability of older adult services in rural communities, including identification of potential gaps in access and challenges to sustainability. It will apply a mixed methods approach consisting of an environmental scan, secondary data analyses, and key informant interviews with representatives of relevant federal agencies and national organizations responsible for the provision of older adult services. The findings could advance the health and well-being of older adults in rural communities by informing the design, delivery, and reimbursement of needed support services.
