Monitoring the Transformation of Rural Health Care Delivery and Financing - Phase Two
This project continues the monitoring of rural health care delivery and financing in the United States in the 1990s begun in Phase I. The major components of the project are: 1) monitoring the changing role of the rural hospital, 2) monitoring the practice of rural primary care physicians, 3) monitoring rural Medicare beneficiary decision making, 4) following-up on monitoring of phase I trends in regard to rural health networks, rural managed care enrollment, and rural primary care practice risk sharing, and 5) preparing case studies of rural health transformation strategies.
