The major goals of this four-year project are to create a proactive public health model that will help isolated residents of Colonias along the Texas border, to enhance their understanding of how to remain healthy and reduce physical and mental health problems, to improve their access to appropriate primary care services, and to participate in building the capacity of their community to improve more effectively the health of its members.
